Bradford Farm & Venue Vendor Show

This past weekend I had the joy of being part of Bradford Farm’s Spring Open House. If you live in Northwest Alabama, or are looking for a wedding venue in the area, you can’t go wrong with Bradford Farm! Take a look at their website here and see what they have to offer - you won’t be disappointed!

The Cakes

As soon as I was invited to participate in the open house, I knew I wanted to showcase two completely different wedding cakes. One that would appeal to couples wanting a completely over-the-top and romantic cake, and one for couples wanting to keep things small, intimate, and minimalist.

Blue Beauty

Let’s start off with the cake that I designed and decorated first, a cake appropriately named the Blue Beauty.

The cake is a white wedding cake decorated with a ultra-romantic dusty blue buttercream and blush-toned peonies, accented by pale green and mustard yellow greenery.

This three-tier cake could easily serve up to 150 guests with its tall tiers.

The Sage Sister

Up next we have the smaller, but equally stunning, Sage Sister cake. This cake is also a white wedding cake decorated with white almond buttercream, accented with sage green “brushstrokes”, gold leaf, and a minimalist inspired floral arrangement.

This wedding cake is so fitting for a smaller, intimate ceremony but still adds the perfect amount of glam.

We were prepped with some cake samples to send home with the lovely couples and time and time again, I found myself being so humbled by the kindness and encouragement so freely offered from each couple that I met.

Whether you’re single, dating, engaged, or have been married for 20 years, I think we can all agree that wedding cakes are so special and if done correctly, a beauty to behold.

A huge shoutout to Heather Bradford Sherrill of Bradford Farm and her lovely team that hosted the open house!

Enjoy!
