This weekend was all about the details with these two cakes for a recently-turned one year old! 

The infamous smash cake features three vanilla cake layers, vanilla buttercream, and hand painted watercolor paw prints and splatters in raspberry and violet tones.

The party cake has two marble cake layers with two dark chocolate cake layers wrapped in a beautiful blush vanilla buttercream - all matching the party theme. 

The pups were individually piped and remind me of a dot painting - super intricate but SO fun and rewarding.

I topped it off with a rope border using Wilton’s 1M tip and added some razzle dazzle using a rose gold sprinkle mix from my favorite sprinkle shop - Sprinkle Pop. 

These pups are fit to party!

My daughter’s first birthday is coming up this week, so you know what that means… CAKE! Stay tuned to see her party cake.
