Better Than ____ Cake

Fill in the blank. Fill in that^ blank with pretty much any word and this cake is going to beat it, 99% of the time.

The first time I made this cake was in 2015. I made a 9x13 version of it for a couple in Auburn who became like my own parents. They were having a gathering and I wanted to bring something that would stun.

So in my little apartment kitchen in the heart of Auburn, I made this “Better than _____ Cake”.

See below for a photo of the actual cake from 2015… it wasn’t a stunner. 😂 Everything was store bought but it was still delicious. I was so proud!

When you transform that sheet cake into a layer cake, it looks almost as good as it tastes.

- Extra thick dark chocolate cake layers

- Fresh whipped cream filling

- Heath Bar chunks

- Homemade caramel

- Dark chocolate ganache

- The SILKIEST caramel chocolate buttercream

I gotta say, I love this transformation. This one is in my top 5 chocolate cakes - of all time.
