Chocolate Dipped Graham Cake

THE INSPIRATION

Target has this snack that I’ve just recently discovered and I’m absolutely smitten! Favorite Day makes these chocolate covered “mini grahams” that are the perfect dessert for when you’re stuffed, but still have room in your second stomach for something sweet (if you know, you know).

Even though they’re fantastic on their own, dip them into some peanut butter and you’re soon to be on cloud 9 my friend!

So this cake is inspired by those mini grahams (and peanut butter ).

THE ELEMENTS

- Graham cracker cake layers

- Dark chocolate ganache

- Chunks of the elusive mini-grahams

- My very own “Magic Shell”

- Peanut butter buttercream

THE “MAGIC SHELL”

The mini grahams are obviously dipped in chocolate, and I wanted my cake to mimic them as closely as possible.

To do that, I dipped the entire cake in pure chocolate - it hardened like a “magic shell”. Then, I went over the chocolate with peanut butter buttercream, scraped a few times, and was left with this beautiful finish.

Peanut butter buttercream with slivers of chocolate peaking through - just like my snack! Mission accomplished.
