Simple Semi-Naked Wedding Cake

There’s beauty in simplicity and this cake is proof!

Some brides - including myself - love over the top wedding cakes that are unique and untraditional while some brides prefer a more simple cake that flows more with their theme.

I love both and this cake happens to be the latter.

I had the honor of making this semi-naked beauty for a wedding held at Pickett Place in the lovely Florence, Alabama.

This wedding cake features white cake layers finished in a semi-naked almond buttercream.

Finishing touches included some gorgeous fresh flowers and greenery.

PS - upon arrival at the venue, we decided to switch out the red flowers for a perfect all-white wedding cake. Unfortunately, I didn’t bring my camera to snap a few pictures of the final product, but I think you can get the idea!
