Two Groovy Celebration

My daughter recently turned two and we all celebrated her - she’s funny, empathetic, and absolutely stunning in every way. She also loves sunglasses.

I pondered on the design of this cake after scouring Pinterest for two-year-old birthday parties (so many choices, am I right?) and when I saw a “two groovy” party, I fell in love and started working on a design for her cake.

The first thing that came to mind was a disco ball, but how? Enter PropOptions and their amazing anti-gravity cake separators. I used the Central Bar Stand and carefully crafted a disco ball to fit around the central support bar.

For the cake itself, I decided to use a combination of all things groovy - from the colors to the stripes and “shag”, this cake screams “welcome to the seventies”!

The top tier is strawberry cake, the middle tier is chocolate, and the bottom tier is vanilla - all wrapped together with an ultra-soft whipped vanilla buttercream and custom fondant accents.

The party featured a streamer backdrop, super cute sunglasses for all, and of course, the birthday girl.

Penelope absolutely loved the cake and I hope you do, too!

Enjoy!
