Light and Chic Autumn Wedding Cake

This past weekend brought about some of the most gorgeous weather that my neck of the woods has seen this year. It was abnormally warm for October, but that made it all the better!

Baylee contacted me a while ago and wanted me to bake and decorate her wedding cake - we hit it off and the rest is history!

She requested a simple, elegant white wedding cake to provide some contrast to her ceremony which was full of fresh greenery. Inspired by one of my recent designs - Steel Magnolias - she also requested magnolia flowers for the floral element of her cake.

This cake is a double barrel 10” and 8” combination with almond cake layers and vanilla buttercream. A few textured buttercream details and a classic deckled edge were added for additional visual interest.

For the groom’s cake, we decided on my Cookies and Cream cake - the perfect companion for a white wedding cake!
