Sugar and Spice Cake

The Sugar and Spice Wedding Cake is the second cake that I featured at the Bradford Farm Open House this past weekend.

It hosts a muted, romantic dusty rose buttercream accompanied by an assortment of spicy flowers. Peonies, poppies, buttercups, and roses in shades of red, blue, and yellow tones that make this cake pop. As you can probably tell, the flowers on this cake are silk. However, I’m certain that if this cake was recreated with fresh florals it would be just as stunning!

This is a 10”, 8”, and 6” double barrel cake combination that will feed 100 guests.

To help me create the cake and really fine-tune the details, I used my cake sketching software from Avalon Cake School.

I’m in no way versed in sketching by hand, so this software allows me to help clients envision their wedding cake better than a hand-drawn sketch. It’s amazing to watch the process - from a simple sketch to a real cake! If you’re a baker working with clients who are visual learners - like me - the investment in this software is definitely something I recommend!

Again, this is not a sponsored post, but when I find a product that I feel will help others in their baking journey I always try to share it!

Enjoy!
