A Sunny March Wedding
Isn’t there something magical about spring? I love all of the seasons, but fall and spring are my absolute favorites.
I recently made a three-tier wedding cake for a Spring wedding that was held at the beautiful Pickett Place in Florence, AL.
The bride and groom chose a simple, yet super elegant, three-tier wedding cake along with a Cookies and Cream groom’s cake. The wedding cake is comprised of tall, white cake layers wrapped in almond buttercream, adorned with some coordinating florals.
For those of you like my husband who are interested in some numbers, have a look at the specs of this cake:
50 pounds of cake batter
15 pounds of buttercream
A 75 pound wedding cake
Insane, right? This is one of the heaviest cakes I have made and delivered but the finished product was worth every struggle.
Weddings are already so special and the fact that I get to be a part of them blesses me immensely. However, each cake I do is a full family effort. My sweet husband, my parents, my best friend - they are the ones who help make this dream of mine - and your dream cakes - become a reality. Without them, Homemade by Celena would still be just a thought.
Enjoy, friends!
